I Believe
I believe in education for every child. Every child has the ability to become whatever they want, but they must have an education to lead them there. In education, there shouldn’t be the students that teachers just give up on. All children have a dream and it is up to teachers to make sure these dreams can be reached. There aren’t any children who don’t want something for themselves. Although some students may give this impression, this does not mean that educators give up on them. I believe that if there is a student who has given up on his or herself then it is my responsibility to help them recover their dreams. An education can take a child to wherever they want to go. It will open many doors, and it is not only for a select few of students. Education is for every child. Even though education is available to every child through our public school system, as a teacher, it is my job to make sure that students succeed in their education. Succeeding in education will lead to success in life. Growing up I saw many students who just gave up, but I also saw teachers who didn’t try to convince them otherwise. I believe that when a teacher is teaching it should be to every student. I was fortunate growing up. I realized the value of an education, and then had the opportunity to reach my dream of being a teacher. Every child deserves that opportunity. An education is more than just studying basic subjects. It provides students with much more. Students learn respect, rules, duties, responsibility, and, most of all, an education gives children a chance to discover who they are. I believe in giving every child an equal education. Every child deserves to walk in to a classroom and feel equal to their peers. As a teacher, I will treat my students the same and teach to all of them. And in return, I will expect the same performance from all of them. When students are taught differently or treated differently within the same class, then the students will believe that they are not as good as the others. Every student should believe that they can do everything that other students can do. My education has given me so much in life, and that is why I believe in education for every child.

What a great perspective to have on teaching. I like how you addressed the idea that all students want to learn. I think this is something that teachers often forget. It is our duty to inspire all of our students to reach their dream. I am glad to hear that you had a positive experience in school but that you recognize that others did not. This will help you identify to the students that are not motivated by the same things as you. I think you are going to be great at that. I can't wait to see how this semester goes.
